Industrial Networking & OT Communications

A control system is only as reliable as the network it runs on. In Oil & Gas, Power, and Utilities environments where a communications failure can trigger a plant-wide shutdown and process uptime is measured in millions of dollars per hour the industrial network infrastructure must be engineered to the same standard of reliability, redundancy, and security as the control system itself.

ConnectSys Automation supplies and integrates hardened industrial Ethernet switches, routers, wireless access points, and OT cybersecurity solutions from the globally recognised leader in industrial networking covering everything from DIN-rail managed switches inside MCC panels to ATEX-certified field switches deployed directly in Zone 1 hazardous areas.

Applications & Solutions

In SCADA and DCS control rooms, managed industrial Ethernet switches with zero-switchover PRP and HSR ring redundancy under IEC 62439 form the communications backbone connecting operator workstations, historian servers, engineering stations, and remote I/O gateways. A single cable break or switch failure in this architecture must never interrupt process communications and our industrial switches are engineered specifically to guarantee that.

In offshore oil and gas installations, industrial Ethernet infrastructure connects distributed control panels, fire and gas detection systems, emergency shutdown controllers, and CCTV systems across the platform all operating over a managed, redundant network with strict traffic prioritisation and physical resilience to vibration, salt spray, and temperature extremes. For Zone 1 and Zone 2 classified areas on the topside structure, ATEX-certified industrial Ethernet switches bring hardened network connectivity directly into the field without the need for safe area remote I/O enclosures.

In pipeline and terminal automation projects, industrial routers provide wide-area connectivity between unmanned remote pumping stations, metering skids, and the central control room with OT firewalls enforcing strict network segmentation that isolates the SCADA system from the corporate IT network and from external cyber threats. This architecture is increasingly a mandatory requirement on ADNOC, Aramco, and QatarEnergy approved projects under IEC 62443 OT cybersecurity standards.

For mobile operations field inspections, maintenance activities, and actuator commissioning industrial Wi-Fi access points provide the ruggedised wireless connectivity required for mobile HMI access and field data collection in process plant environments.

Every network solution supplied by ConnectSys is fully configured, tested, and delivered with network topology drawings, switch configuration backups, and commissioning documentation as standard.
